Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Simona Pakenham

Letter No.:
May 6th [1956]

From R. Vaughan Williams,
10, Hanover Terrace,
Regents Park,
London, N.W.1.

My dear Simona,

It was most sweet of you to give me that delightful fiddler.1 I wish we had seen more of each other in Manchester - the 2nd performance was even better than the 1st.2
We had great difficulty over trains back owing to cup tie3 - finally had to take a car, us and our two friends from Dorking.4 How did you fare?
See you, I hope, at singery tomorrow.
All love
