Lovely letter, but how sad about the Hymn of Jesus; it may learn the choir not to be so cocky!1
All splendid here.  We all went to Blue Murder at St Trinians last night just for fun.  Otherwise lots of concerts & so on, & Dorking rehearsals have started – we look forward to seeing John & Evelyn2 – hope the Turners are all right after their misadventure, reported by the Daily Mail!!3
Much love to both.

1.  MK’s letter had reported a bad performance of Holst’s The Hymn of Jesus, H140, by the BBCSO and Hallé choir under Sargent at Manchester.
2.  The Barbirollis.
3.  Laurence Turner, then leader of the Hallé Orchestra, and his wife Doreen had had a mishap of some kind.
