Letter from Ursula Vaughan Williams to Michael and Eslyn Kennedy

Letter No.:
2nd [October 1956]

Thank you for a lovely letter. We have had a wonderful time bathing, basking and siesta-ing – the minimum of sightseeing.1 It is still summer here, cotton dresses and prolonged sunbathing, & iced drinks. Real October will seem strange.
Ralph has written for the Times about Gerald.2 I hope you will see it today or tomorrow.
It will also be lovely to come home.
All love

1. The VWs were on holiday in Majorca.
2. Gerald Finzi had died on 27 September, while they were on holiday.
