Letter from Ursula Vaughan Williams to Alan Frank (OUP)

Letter No.: VWL3449

From R. Vaughan Williams,
10, Hanover Terrace,
Regents Park,
London, N.W.1.

November 25th 1956.

Dear Alan,

Here are the prose dialogue passages of Act 1. now made into narrative verse, as brisk as I can manage.1
You will see that in some places where there are cuts I have telescoped, but everything is marked with the page numbers of what it supersedes in the full score.2
Perhaps, if you approve of it, you will have it copied, and then forward the script to Mrs Pattinson at the Academy?3
Acts 2 and 3 will follow as soon as I can finish them.
Yours,

Ursula.
