Dear Shaw
Just back.  Sorry for delay in answering.
With regard to the tune – is it the same one as I have used in my Carol Fantasia?1  If so I shall be in a little difficulty with Stainer & Bell who may think they have a moral (though not a legal) right over a choral version of that tune.  But if they have no objection I have none – only you will also have to ask leave of Mrs Leather who is “part publisher” of the tune
It’s splendid about the Carol Fant. at your church – awfully jolly of you.
I plan to be in London & free 1st2& 2nd of September (or 3rd) as the 2nd my “Wasp” Suite is done at the proms.  Could we meet about then[.]  I shd like to see your songs so much.
Are you better
Allen still has the Tallis, wish they cd get it out of him.
