My Dear Joan
I will not give Martin a “lesson” – but as an old friend I should feel honoured if he liked to consult me on his work – though it seems absurd when his technical equipment makes me feel an amateur – & he never has asked me to criticize anything of his – that is the difficulty – so when I suggested that I should ask him to look through something of mine & if in return I can make any suggestions on any of his work I will shall be proud to do so.
What do you think to that?
