“Dear Dr. Vaughan Williams,
We are very happy to tell you that your “Fantasia on a theme by Thomas Tallis” has recently been performed by our Orchestra with outstanding success. It was included in the 5th subscription series conducted by our guest conductor from England, Mr. Louis Cohen. But so much did this work please the public here that we repeated it in a number of concerts in towns and villages. It was also included in a special concert we gave for H..M. Forces on the 26th February also conducted by Mr. Cohen.
Programmes are enclosed herewith.
Yours very truly,
S.B. Lewertoff, Administrator”
