The White Gates,
Westcott Road,
Dorking.

March 26 [1935]

Dear Peter
I am enclosing a copy of the Holst Memorial appeal of which doubtless you have already heard.1
Do you think you can help us to make it known – or could you put me in touch with anyone who would like to be active in a matter like this?
The Secretary would send you as many more copies as you like.
The Radio Times seems full of your conducting activities. I listened to a gramophone recording of Beecham the other day – under the impression that it was you.
Yrs

1.  Holst had died in 1934, and VW was actively involved in the fundraising for a memorial.
