Dear Adrian

I owe you 2 answers
(1) To your letter of March 10th
I have ½ finished a pfte concerto1 which Harriet Cohen is to play if she likes it – But (a) it may never be finished (b) I may not like it when it is (c) she may not – so that’s that.  Please say nothing about this at present.
(2) “Job” – with great pleasure – a pfte acct is being done and it will be ready soon – Of course I shd be pleased if you wd conduct it  –  (the score is illegible)2

2. In fact Boult, although the dedicatee of Job, Catalogue of Works 1930/5, did not conduct any of the performances noted in Kennedy, Catalogue of Works. The piano accompaniment was by Vally Lasker.
